The answer is a simple response to the declaration of Jesus that empowered by the Holy Spirit we are to be his witnesses in Jerusalem, and in Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth. (Acts 1:8).
In this task we remember the command of God to be a blessing to others, in particular the poor and disadvantaged. At the same time the command of Jesus to ‘go and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you’ (Matthew 28:19-20), reminds us the greatest blessing anyone can receive is eternal life in Jesus.
The primary task of Global Mission Kaikorai is to raise awareness, teach, and enable every member of the congregation to be actively involved in mission beyond New Zealand.
